শিক্ষার্থীরা বলছেন, সিলেট, সুনামগঞ্জসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন জেলায় বন্যায় তাদের অবস্থা খারাপ। বাড়ি-ঘর ছেড়ে আশ্রয় কেন্দ্রে অবস্থান করতে হচ্ছে তাদের। সব কিছু বন্যায় তলিয়ে গেছে। বন্যা কবলিত জেলাগুলোতে অসংখ্য ভর্তিচ্ছু রয়েছে। বন্যার কারণে তাদের বেঁচে থাকাই কষ্টকর হয়ে পড়েছে।

এই অবস্থায় ভর্তি পরীক্ষার প্রস্তুতি নেওয়া কোনো ভাবেই সম্ভব হচ্ছে না।শিক্ষার্থীদের দাবি, যেখানে বেঁচে থাকতে প্রতিদিন লড়াই করতে হচ্ছে সেখানে ভর্তি পরীক্ষা নিয়ে চিন্তা করার মতো অবকাশ তাদের নেই। পরিস্থিতি কবে স্বাভাবিক হবে সেটি কেউ জানে না। বন্যার পানি নেমে গেলেও সবকিছু স্বাভাবিক হতে কমপক্ষে এক মাস সময় লাগবে।
এই অবস্থায় গুচ্ছ ভর্তি পরীক্ষা অন্তত এক মাস পেছানো দরকার।এ প্রসঙ্গে মো. রহিম নামে এক ভর্তিচ্ছু জানান, ‘‘করোনার কারণে দুইবার ভর্তি পরীক্ষার তারিখ পেছানো হয়েছে। দেশের এই প্রাকৃতিক দূর্যোগের সময় যেখানে মানুষের বসতবাড়ি পর্যন্ত বন্যার পানিতে ভেসে যাচ্ছে,
লাখ লাখ মানুষের জীবনে নেমে এসেছে কালো অধ্যায়। এই অবস্থায় ভর্তি পরীক্ষা পেছানো সময়ের দাবি। ভর্তি পরীক্ষা অবশ্যই পেছানো দরকার। কেননা দূর্যোগপূর্ণ এলাকাগুলোতে অসংখ্য ভর্তিচ্ছু রয়েছেন।’’
শহিদুল সুমন নামে আরেক ভর্তিচ্ছু জানান, ‘‘বন্যা কবলিত এলাকার শিক্ষার্থীদের কথা বিবেচনা করে ২২ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের গুচ্ছ ভর্তি পরীক্ষা এক মাস পিছিয়ে দেওয়ার দাবি জানাচ্ছি। যেখানে বেঁচে থাকাই বড় দায়, সেখানে পড়াশোনা বিলাসিতা মাত্র। সিলেট, সুনামগঞ্জ সহ দেশের বেশ কয়েকটি জেলা পানিতে তলিয়ে গেছে।

ফ্রী-মোশন তার ফেসবুক পেইজে জানান, ‘‘সিলেট, কুড়িগ্রাম, সুনামগঞ্জ সহ দেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় বর্তমানে বন্যা পরিস্থিতি পূর্ববর্তী বন্যার চেয়েও অনেক ভয়াবহ। কিছুদিন আগে যে বন্যা হয়েছিলো, তার রেস কাটতে না কাটতে আবারও এরকম ভয়াবহ বন্যা থেকে একমাত্র আল্লাহ্-ই আমাদের উদ্ধার করতে পারেন।
যদিও এমন অবস্থায় রাষ্ট্রের ভূমিকাই সবচেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্ত্বপূর্ন। তবে রাষ্ট্রীয় বাহিনীর পাশাপাশি মানবিক দৃষ্টিকোণ থেকে আমাদেরও সামর্থ্যানুযায়ী এগিয়ে আসতে হবেইনশাআল্লাহ্ , আমি ব্যাক্তিগত ভাবে আমার সামর্থ্যানুযায়ী কিছু করার চেষ্টা করতেছি।
